Ch. 667 - People Get Ready
How can something meant to be uplifting be so very disheartening?
Even through the praise and glorification, I come to be discouraged. My heart breaks. Do they have any idea of what they're missing out on? I honestly have no clue. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's difficult to do so.
WAKE UP!
Distraught.
That is what I am.
Distraught.
'He who testifies to these things says,'
"Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.'

Ch. 223 - Carneeelian
'At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian.'

Carnelian is a 'hard red chalcedony used in jewelry'.
Chalcedony is 'a translucent variety of quartz of various colors and waxy luster'.

Ch. 221 - The Faithful Witness

I find great comfort knowing that an Almighty God is in control of all things, including my life. Puppetmaster? Not so much... I like to think of my Lord God as a symphonic composer. I feel that basically speaks for itself... but really, I simply cannot decide where to go with this. There are so many things one could say in expounding upon this verse. Which is good. Our Lord God is not a shallow god. He is a God of depth and mystery, of light and truth. He is everlasting. Creator. Ruler. And it goes on...

Ch. 173 - He Surrounds Us
Today was simply lovely.
Beautiful.
Perfect.
Have you ever started to walk outside and suddenly stopped in your tracks because you are sincerely and utterly amazed at how wonderful a day it is? Today was one of those days here in Moberly, Missouri.
It was like I could feel God enveloping me in His arms and I was just breathing Him in.
'Every breath I take I breathe in You.'
But sometimes I forget that.
Not today.
Thank you, God.

Ch. 11 - Forgiven
The next few chapters will be based on music. Specific lyrics, actually, that have really spoken to me over the past couple of days.

In believing Christ is our Savior, we are given the most wonderful gifts in the world - eternal salvation and the forgiveness of our sins.
Nothing can top that. God has you beat in every way, hands down. Yeah, that cashmere sweater and set of pearls that you just spent $700 on for your wife's birthday isn't looking too hot anymore, is it?
Usually I save a Bible verse for the end of the post, but I want to put it in now.
'... they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.'
[Revelation 7:14]
This is one of my favorite verses in the book of Revelation. Every time I read it I stop and reflect upon it. I mean, you'd think that if you dipped something in blood, it'd stain and turn that horrid reddish-brown color. But no, not in the blood of the Lamb. His blood made the robes of those who came out of great tribulation white. Not just any shade of white, either - but a dazzling, blinding white. And because they washed their robes in His blood, they get to eternally serve God. They are never hungry. They are never thirsty. The sun does not burn them. The Lamb is their shepherd, leading them to living water. And God takes away all their sadness [based on Revelation 7:15-17].
I have turned to God and laid everything at the foot of the cross... my pride... my insufficiencies... I am no longer bound to, well, anything. I am strong in Him, because He has shown me love, grace and mercy - among other things. I have done a lot of wrong in my life, I mean a lot - and I'm only 18. Yet it's alright, because I know I'm forgiven. That's how I am able to live each day the way I do - to the fullest, with no regrets. I sing to Jesus, and live.
